Terms of Service

Barley is operated by QITONG MAI, an individual based in China. It provides pet education, Training, care and growth records, personalized predictions and AI assistance for pet owners aged 18 and over. Predictions and AI suggestions can be inaccurate or unsuitable for your animal. Courses and completion certificates do not guarantee training outcomes or confer professional qualifications.

Use an account you control. Apple, Google and email are supported sign-in methods. Restore records with the sign-in method associated with your account. Linking another method may require verification. Account deletion is available at “Profile → Account → Delete account”. Deleting an account or uninstalling Barley does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

An account and an active subscription or eligible trial are required to use app features after setup. Purchase recovery, account export, privacy settings and account deletion remain available without a subscription. Ending a subscription does not delete your saved records. Any eligible trial and its renewal terms are disclosed before purchase; monthly plans do not include a free trial.

Subscriptions use Apple in-app purchases, with RevenueCat managing purchase access and recovery. Apple's price, renewal, cancellation and refund rules apply. Manage your subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings. The purchase screen shows the selected price, billing period and any eligible trial.

• Only upload photos you have the right to submit.
• Double-check weights, food energy units and package numbers before confirming them.
• Do not misuse the service — including probing or overloading the AI analysis endpoints, reverse engineering the app, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Photos and records you submit remain yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process them solely to provide the features you use, as described in our Privacy Policy. Delete your account and this license ends with it.

Connectivity, providers and device conditions can affect availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, timely reminders or specific training results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses intentional misconduct, or removes responsibility for promises we expressly make.

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be noted here before they take effect, and continued use after that means you accept them.
